Lunar Bank A/S · København
Senior Compliance Officer/Compliance Officer
Banking hasn't changed much in decades. We're changing that. One product at a time.
Lunar is a Nordic challenger bank building the future of financial life with AI at the core. Our engineers, designers, and product people work on problems that actually matter. Making money simpler, smarter, and more rewarding for millions of people across the Nordics.
Fully licensed and founded in 2015, with offices in Copenhagen, Aarhus and Stockholm.
We move fast, we build with purpose, and we're just getting started.
As our new Senior Compliance Officer/Compliance Officer, you'll join the Compliance team in the 2nd line of defence, reporting to Kathrine von Grumbkow, Director of Compliance. The team sits in Copenhagen, but working from Aarhus or Stockholm is also an option.
This is a compliance team that gets called early, not last. We cover every regulatory requirement across all the Nordic jurisdictions Lunar operates in, and we're in the room when products are still being shaped - giving support, pushing back, and helping the business find the version that works for customers and regulators. The compliance toolbox here is being built with a tech-first mindset rather than inherited from a decades-old bank, so you'll have real influence over how it takes shape.
What will you do?
• Drive compliance initiatives across the key areas of general banking regulation
• Be our subject matter expert on two of the following areas: credit, conduct, financial crime prevention, digital operational resilience, or payments
• Implement and maintain our Compliance Framework, and keep it fit for how Lunar actually works
• Monitor and assess compliance risks, then turn what you find into recommendations the business can act on
• Be the sparring partner the business comes to on regulatory questions — supporting, challenging, and advising as products and processes evolve
What are we looking for in you?
• Experience with Danish banking regulation — several years of it for the senior role, less if you're earlier in your compliance career
• Hands-on experience with compliance or risk management in 1st or 2nd line, preferably from a bank or credit institution
• Analytical skills to identify and assess regulatory risk in the context of a specific business model and products
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to position compliance as an enabler for the business
• Solid understanding of core banking activities and products
• Comfortable explaining regulatory reasoning to people outside compliance, and able to move projects forward independently while working closely with the team
What you get
• 4 days in the office - 1 day work from home. We're a team that builds together, thinks together, and moves together. Showing up is part of how we work.
• State of the art equipment. The newest computer, monitor, mouse, and keyboard. We want you to do your best work without anything slowing you down.
• Pension, health insurance, and enhanced parental leave. From your financial future to your family moments. We've got you covered.
